State Firefighter testing to be offered at the Wayne County Fire & Rescue Association Regional Training Facility

Wayne Savings Community Bank donates computers

Apple Creek, Ohio – Firefighters and EMTs will soon be able to take state exams at the Wayne County Fire & Rescue Association Regional Training Facility, saving costs for area fire departments. “State testing was the only service we weren’t able to provide in-house. With a donation of 20 computers from the Wayne Savings Computer Donation program and refurbishing by ComputerMixx, we can provide this service and offer pre-testing—for added savings—to local fire departments,” said Dallas Terrell, Director of the Wayne County Regional Training Facility.

The Wayne County Regional Training Facility is a 501(c)(3) designated organization that provides hands-on educational training on firefighting, fire prevention, and emergency squad and rescue work at their nearly 60-acre facility in Apple Creek. The facility was built and is operated today by many volunteers from area fire departments and is funded entirely by user fees, donations, and local grants.
