    Peggy J. Schmitz
    Board Chair (WSBI, WSCB) Director since 2008 (WSBI, WSCB) Ms. Schmitz is an attorney and a member of Critchfield, Critchfield and Johnston, Ltd. in Wooster, Ohio. She has practiced law for more than 35 years and has been associated with her law firm for more than 25 years. Ms. Schmitz provides the board with valuable experience and insight to Wayne Savings’ customers and markets through her legal expertise and her involvement with community organizations and activities.

    Lead Director (WSBI, WSCB) Director since 2010 (WSBI, WSCB) Mr. Ciccotelli is a Vice President in the Tax Services Group in the Wooster, Ohio office of Meaden and Moore, Ltd. and has been employed in such capacity since 2002. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has over 25 years of taxation work experience with large public accounting firms and has worked with publicly traded companies. Mr. Ciccotelli has been involved in community and economic development activities in Wayne Savings’ market area and serves as Chairman of the Company’s Audit Committee.

    David L. Lehman
    Director since 2012 (WSBI, WSCB) Mr. Lehman served as the President and CEO for the Company from December 2016 to August 2017. He is also a director of the Mennonite Mutual Insurance Company in Orrville, Ohio, where he was President of the company from 1990 through February 2016. Mr. Lehman has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry and over 25 years leading a growing insurance company, and has been extensively involved in community and leadership development activities in Wayne Savings’ market area.

    Debra A. Marthey
    Director since 2011 (WSBI, WSCB) Ms. Marthey served as the Vice President and Treasurer for The J.M. Smucker Company in Orrville, Ohio with more than 35 years in various finance roles at the company. As Vice President and Treasurer for over 15 years, she managed the company’s liquidity resources, formulating and implementing the appropriate capital structure, corporate investment management, debt structure and management, and banking relationships with commercial banks. She also had responsibility for the company’s risk and insurance function and the management of the company’s retirement assets and 401(k) employee plans. Ms. Marthey has been involved in community and professional organizations in Wayne Savings’ market area.

    Glenn W. Miller
    Director since 2012 (WSBI, WSCB) Mr. Miller is President and Chief Executive Officer of Holmes-Wayne Electric Cooperative in Millersburg, Ohio and has been employed in such capacity since 2004. He is also a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Miller has over 25 years of experience in business management and financial statement preparation. Mr. Miller has been involved in community and economic development activities, including work in the oil and gas industry, in Wayne Savings’ market area.

    James (Jay) R. VanSickle II
    President and CEO (WSBI, WSCB) Director (WSBI, WSCB) Mr. VanSickle currently serves as the President and CEO for the Company. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. VanSickle served in senior management roles with Farmers National Bank of Canfield as Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer, and National Bancshares Corporation of Orrville as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. VanSickle is extensively involved in the community, serving as a board member on the Wooster All-Sports Booster Club and Wooster City School’s Business Advisory Council.
  • Brian Hopkins

    Brian Hopkins

    Director since 2017 (WSBI, WSCB)

    Mr. Hopkins is a Managing Director and partner of Ancora Holdings, Inc., an investment management and family wealth advisory firm based in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Hopkins joined the firm in 2003 and was the second partner of Ancora. He has been an integral part of a team that has grown the firm from $50 million in assets under management at inception in 2003 to $6.3 billion in assets under management today. Mr. Hopkins founded the firm’s hedge fund practice and continues to be a portfolio manager of four investment partnerships, two of which focus significant elements of their investment strategy on investing in community banks. In addition, Mr. Hopkins is responsible for the firm’s corporate development efforts, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and capital raising. Mr. Hopkins provides the board with a background in corporate finance, investment decision making, capital markets and strategic decision-making.
