Wayne Savings Bancshares, Inc. Announces a Significant Increase to Quarterly Dividends

Wooster, Ohio (September 28, 2018) – Wayne Savings Bancshares, Inc. (OTCQX:WAYN),  (the “Company”), the holding company parent of Wayne Savings Community Bank (the “Bank”), has declared a cash dividend increase of $0.04 to $0.15 per share of the Company’s common stock for the quarter ending September 30, 2018.  This represents an increase of 36% from the June 30, 2018 dividend of $0.11.  The quarterly cash dividend will be paid on October 31, 2018 to stockholders of record as of October 17, 2018.

At June 30, 2018, Wayne Savings Bancshares, Inc. reported total assets of $463.0 million, deposits of $379.1 million, and stockholders’ equity of $42.5 million, or 9.18% of total assets. 

Established in 1899, Wayne Savings Community Bank, the wholly owned subsidiary of Wayne Savings Bancshares, Inc., has eleven full-service banking locations in the communities of Wooster, Ashland, Millersburg, Rittman, Lodi, North Canton, and Creston, Ohio.
